As you may have noticed, the Shrine is undergoing some renovations. Typical of me to do the decorating when the world goes crazy! And hasn't it been a bumper month so far? so much to report! The renovations one the site should be finished soon so hopefully you can appreciate them fully in a couple of weeks. So here's few headlines from what's been going on in January. Radio 1 don't playlist Whole Again "FROM POPBITCH MESSAGE BOARD - RADIO 1 PLAYLIST: Atomic Kitten (after a very heated debate for the past two weeks - the station has decided they would be sending out a negative vibe out to the audience if it did go on even though everyone agreed it was a good pop song)" Thanks to the venerable Popbitch.com
for that one, exposing the minutes over Radio 1's playlist meeting. So
now you know how they think.
Kerry to have a kitten of her own Yes indeed, having revealed her love for Brian
with a tastefully done photo shoot for a gossip mag ( no press for them
here, they get enough already), and revealed almost all in a shoot for
SKY magazine, Kerry then dropped the finally bombshell by revealing tat
the patter of tiny feet will invade her life in September. Kerry quits Kittens Sadly so, as she goes off to put her feet up and look forward to morning sickness, labour then nappies and sleepless nights (such a rosy picture of motherhood). We'll miss ya loads hun, but I am totally sure you've made the right decision. So here's the official statement: "We can confirm that Kerry Katona is leaving Atomic Kitten after she completes promotion for the band's current single, 'Whole Again' in early February. Since she decided to leave the band, Kerry has worked closely with myself, Liz and Natasha to find the right person to replace her - a tall order we know - but we do feel we have found a true star in Jenny Frost." "The three Kittens have been close friends with Jenny from the very start of Atomic Kitten's career as she is from the same school of thought and the same area as the Kittens having been born in Liverpool and brought up in St. Helens and Manchester." "The Kittens' team is a very close-knit family
and we were all thrilled with the news of Kerry's pregnancy and completely
understand her decision to put the well-being of her unborn child first.
Being in Atomic Kitten is a 24-hour a day hectic way of life which really
wouldn't make for a stress-free, relaxed pregnancy. All of us at Integral
and at Innocent Records want to take this opportunity to wish Kerry and
Bryan the best for their baby and their forthcoming marriage." |
