Welcome to a selection of tales from the slighgtly damp month of April. 4th April 2001: Kittens at work - Those fine young ladies have been very busy recently, recording tracks for the repackaged version of Right Now, which is due in Europe in April, apparently. They have found time however to give a preview of a couple of new tracks on their offical site, www.atomickitten.com. there's the much talked about and heavily hyped cover of the Bangles classic Eternal Flame and a new one called You Are, both of which are up to their usual standards. Weird to hear them doing covers though, and totally trashing one of the classic ballads of my childhood. Tash has a bloke? - so it would seem from the message board, where the moderator (The ever bubbly Trish) confirms in one of her replies that Tash is indeed attached and going steady. So that kinda ruins my plans. Oh well plenty more fish in the sea, although absolutely no Kittens, which goes to prove that felines are not aquatic creatures. 17th April 2001: Kittens Right Now again in July?- Scanning the message board on the official site it would seem that the repackaged version of Right Now may well hit or shops in time for summer, sometime near the beginning of July 2001. The girls have been offering up demos of the new material on their official site, www.atomickitten.com. there's the much talked about and heavily hyped cover of the Bangles classic Eternal Flame as well as some other new tracks by the girls. Weird to hear them doing covers though, and totally trashing one of the classic ballads of my childhood. 27th April 2001: Kittens go live - The girls superb live debut in Liverpool will be available via their site from today 6:30pm UK time. Sounds great, I hear it was a superb show, barring the technical hiccups. So go to www.atomickitten.com to check it out. |
